Metro Networks
Today's transport networks are facing a dramatic exhaustion of capacity
with rapidly increasing demands on bandwidth. The WDM systems from
MICROSENS enable telecommunication providers, ISPs, operators of metro
networks, and companies with wide-spread networks, to expand the
capacity of their existing fiber optic lines without delay and at much
lower costs. |

Modular CWDM/DWDM Multiplexer
The new CWDM / DWDM system, joins MICROSENS existing modular Access
platform and has so much built-in flexibility that it can be deployed by
telecommunications providers, metropolitan carriers or even in
sophisticated backbone applications. |

Multifunctional Modular Multiplexer 8 Channel CWDM-/DWDM 1 HU
The new system combines the cost attractiveness of CWDM technology
efficiently with the high channel density of a DWDM solution. The
MICROSENS system now offers a soft migration by combining CWDM and DWDM
technologies intelligently. |

Fast Ethernet WDM Bridge 10/100-TX/FX
Main application is the segmentation and the speed adaptation
(10/100 MBit and full/half duplex) of network connections. Main
application of this simplex version are Fiber To The Home (FTTH)
projects. The end user can use with a standard 10/100 Base-TX
interface copper internet services, Video on demand and VoIP
applications. The bridge has an integrated memory of 1 MBit (128
kByte). |

Fast Ethernet Converter 100Base-FX/100Base-TX option WDM
The new WDM module is part of the MICROSENS wide range of
converters for the enterprise access family. This is an open,
chassis-based system, which can only be configured to its
application by installing suitable function modules. In addition
to desktop chassis in single and double designs, the user can
choose a 19" chassis that accepts up to 12 inserts.

WDM converter 2 port 100Base-FX/100Base-TX
The Fast Ethernet WDM converter offer the connection of copper based
Fast Ethernet segments (100Base-TX) over one long distance simplex
single mode fiber. With the used WDM Technology (Wavelength Division
Multiplexing) the transmit and receive channel are multiplexed and
transmitted simultaneously, using different wavelengths.

Transparent Converter Module WDM Multimode/Single mode
The MICROSENS Converter Module Multimode/Single mode is based on
Wavelength Division Multiplexing technology (WDM).
The use of 1300nm and 1500nm wavelengths enables parallel transting and
receiving of data on a simplex FO line

E1/IP-Multiplexer
The E1/IP-Multiplexer takes advantage of this infrastrucutre to help
carriers deliver high revenue leased line services such as E1/T1 as well
as serial interfaces like V24, V35, X21 and RS530. The E1/IP-Multiplexer
is also ideal for the enterprise looking to reduce network expenses
without compromising features of their existing PBX and TDM equiqment.

Gigabit Ethernet TDM Multiplexer Module
The new Gigabit Ethernet Multiplexer offers to transmit two Gigabit
Ethernet datastreams (2x 1.25 Gbps) together via one optical fiber pair
with a 2.5 Gbps data rate. The aggregation of channels is realized fully
transparent. This means, that switching features e. g. VLANs, stacked
VLANs, flow control, buffermanagement etc. are not influenced.

Gigabit TDM Multiplexer
The MICROSENS Gigabit TDM is an optical time-division multiplexer that
facilitates the transmission of voice and data at the same time. It
connects one Gigabit Ethernet at full wirespeed and up to eight E1/T1 or
one E3/DS3 connection over one 1.25Gbit/s fiber optical link. Additional
formerly required leased lines for voice can be fully substituted. The
main advantage of the multiplexer lies in the increasement of the
capacity of existing fiber infrastructure, by bundling several services
on a transmission fiber. |

GBIC Transceiver
The concept of the GBICs (Gigabit Interface Converter) is based on a
pluggable transceiver solution (optical transmitter and receiver). Due
to the multisource agreement (MSA) of different manufacturers there is a
standardized mechanical and electrical interface defined. So the
exchange of modules from different manufacturers is possible.

SFP for Gigabit Ethernet with simplex Option (WDM)
A large part of todays active networking products is already equipped
with slots for modular optical transceivers. This brings the highest
possible flexibility for the network configuration to the user. Because
of the special construction the installation can be done even during
operation (hot swap). |
|
|
 |
Transceiver SFP
Beside the standard SFPs with 850/1310/1550 nm MICROSENS offers special
CWDM transceiver (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) to extend
capacities on existing fiber links. One simple WDM version offers the
bidirectional transmission over one simplex single mode fiber.
